Happy Birthday in Heaven

Today would've been Ron's 72 birthday.  It was the first birthday without him being here to celebrate with.  Needless to say it was another hard day for the Skidmore family, but luckily we were able to spend the day together (minus Jenn who has been suffering from migraines) and we got through it together.  Justin, Anna and I met Elaine (my mother in law) at her house and headed to the grave site to meet Ashley (Justin's brother) and take flowers.  It was a beautiful day for a bittersweet moment.  The sun was shining, the sky was blue with scattered clouds and the weather was in the 60's (which is crazy for Pennsylvania in February).  I'm almost sure that was Ron up there telling us that he was okay.  It's always so cold here in February but not today.  


We know that he is in a better place and that he is being well taken care of.  It's just very hard to get through days and weeks and months without being able to just go over and talk to him and I can pick on his crazy southern accent.  I miss that man, more than anyone will ever know.  

Rest in Peace, Ron.  Happy Birthday in Heaven!
